Hello! I'm wavering on what to do with the vapor barrier.
I'm in the process of converting an old outhouse into a workshop. (ceramics)
How should I approach the vapor barrier?
Currently (since the nails in the outer roof aren't entirely waterproof), there is a construction plastic attached to the rafters that extends all the way outside the building, so if moisture gets in, it runs outside the building. The plan is to redo the roof eventually, and then we could create an air gap, etc. This seems to work well and dries out occasionally.
Should I install a vapor barrier on the ceiling? Or should I skip it? The space will be heated as we will be there intermittently, otherwise, it will be kept at around 10 degrees. I would say most of the time it will be at 10 degrees.
The insulation is flexible bats on both the walls and the ceiling.
Best regards,
Fredrik
