Have installed a vapor barrier on the ceiling. But now I read that you can't tape it without attaching a batten on top. Basically, the tape shouldn't be under tension.
Should the membrane be laid along the ceiling joist or across it as I've done?
What do I do? How is it done?
Will be installed sparsely at cc 300
Roof trusses 1200cc
Thanks!

Where are you reading that? Of course, you can tape, either that or clamp the seams. Since you will be installing sparsely, it won't be under tension.W Wallawhoa said:I have installed a vapor barrier in the ceiling. Thanks for the response! It states that studs/battens should be set to prevent weight from being placed on the tape strip.surris said:
But I assume the weight won't be too significant with 300mm loose-fill insulation, and 230mm between the spars (cc300).
Is this okay?
The green tape is the rafters
Looks very professional, nicely done...W Wallawhoa said:
