Is it okay to use an impact driver with Essve Lättbetongskruv for sill installation, or is a screwdriver with adjustable torque necessary?

This concerns the installation of a 45mm sill in leca.

Essve states: “Preferably use a torque screwdriver and a low speed to avoid overdriving.” Should I interpret "preferably" as it being okay to use an impact driver?:D

No problem at all to use a regular driver. Make sure to pull in low gear and stop when the head has gone down into the sill. It's good to pre-drill the hole before driving in the screw.

How can you interpret a torque screwdriver as an impact driver? :)

If you tighten the lightweight concrete screw just a bit too much, you lose all its strength, so tighten with a "moderate" torque.

Now, the question was whether he could use an impact driver... I interpreted it as he doesn't have a "regular driver"...

I drive a lot of concrete screws with a "nut driver" both 10 and 12 mm but completely without strength requirements
I would never drive something like that with impact
Recommend in the absence of a machine good old-fashioned manpower.....
Very often the impact breaks the screw or hole

I read a bit carelessly, but there's no problem pulling them with a hammer as long as you stop in time and don't overtighten them. This is, of course, easier with a regular puller.

Perfect, yet another reason to buy new tools.
