Hello!
I'm in the process of assembling an IKEA kitchen. The height for the lower hanging rail is clear, but I find it unclear for the upper one.
Since the upper cabinets haven't been delivered yet, I can't measure how much they extend above the rail either.
The rail description states at least 20 mm between the hanging rail and the upper cabinet, but when I measure on an older IKEA kitchen, it's about 40 mm. Does anyone know how much it extends from the hanging rail?

Not much, when I measure on my kitchen it's 4 mm from the upper cabinet to the upper rail.F Fredrik_1976 said:Hello!

But IKEA's "keyhole brackets" allow for quite a bit of adjustment.

Here are the different mounting heights depending on which cabinets are to be installed.

The track is almost flush against the top of the overhead cabinets, but you need 20 mm from the ceiling to hang them.
If you don't have that, you can attach the bracket first and then slide the cabinet onto it and screw it in place; it's a bit more fiddly.

Thank you
Cannot rely on Ikea's drawing as they are 60 cm high cabinets and above the cabinets runs a ventilation duct. So I probably have to place the top edge of the rail just 20 mm below the duct. Then I get just over 50 cm between the countertop and the bottom edge of the cabinets.
