I need tips on how to conceal the transition between the floors in the stairwell. I've renovated an upper floor. And since the lower walls in the stairs have warped a bit, I haven't quite managed the fit between the upper and lower. The outer edges are aligned, but in the center, there's a significant "joint." Even worse, on one side it's at the top, and on the other, it's at the bottom, i.e., "overhang," and they don't completely align with each other.
The overhang is a bit less, up to about 8mm.
On the other side, where there's a step up, it's up to 12mm.

The upper walls are flat. The issues lie with the lower ones, consisting of old standing plank walls that have twisted a bit over time.

The question now is, how best to make it look okay. Is it possible to even it out with filler? I think I have the best chance of succeeding with filling where I have an overhang...

Molding or step trim type?

I won't tear down and re-plaster anything. It's about smoothing and concealing in the best way.
