Hey!
I had a solar panel company over to give me a quote, and the guy asked if there's tongue and groove board under the roof tiles. I answered yes, assuming that's how it's built. Then when I went up to look, I was surprised to see that the underlay roof consists of just a plastic sheet. So basically, roof truss, plastic sheet, battens, tiles. Is this how they built in 2012? Should I be worried? I'm mostly concerned about if the plastic sheet fails and water starts pouring into the attic. I might need to think more about this solar panel thing.

Completely normal. Not optimal perhaps, but cheap. Therefore common on prefab houses.F Flygplats_Teknikern said:Hey!

Mostly thinking about if the plastic sheet fails and water starts pouring into the attic.. Might rethink that solar panel decision.
