Underfloor heating divided room chipboard and slab.
Hello
Since we have a basement under half of the room, it needs to be framed. The other half is intended to have a concrete slab poured. It is supposed to become a floor...
Given those conditions, what should one consider?
Or is it a really bad idea to mix two types of flooring and succeed in getting it right?

We recently added a part to the existing house, where we cast a slab with pipes. In the old part, I laid floor particleboard 2-3cm under the concrete slab and then leveled it to the correct level with self-leveling compound. Separate pipes for each section.
Then a floating floor over everything. Works well, the transition was perfect.

Yep, but that's kind of how I had planned it in the living room where half is basement and framed, and the other half is earth floor that becomes a slab.Sebbe89 said:

The problem here is that it's not possible to make two loops without having the tubing go back and forth between the chipboard and the slab. This is because the seam to the basement goes diagonally through the room...
