We have plans to make some changes to our house. We want to expand our entrance by a few square meters and are considering building a balcony above it and altering the roof on our current dormer. However, we are not very experienced and are a bit nervous that we might be biting off more than we can chew. We do have a brother-in-law who has done a lot of renovation in his own home (expanded the house and completely renovated it) who can help us a lot.
Just wanted to hear a bit here. Is it a big project? What should we consider? Preferably a quick approximate description of the process.

Perhaps not the best beginner project, but we are all beginners at some point. If you don't have any building experience, I would probably look at the price for a frame and a weather-tight roof and do the rest yourself.

Consider using the camera and documents on the mobile, otherwise attach the image on the computer.
