Today I received G4-3 raw plank hatches delivered. I know the quality can be so-so, but out of six, four have several holes about 4cm large. Previously, I ordered raw plank (not in hatches) of the same quality and then had larger holes on a few boards of 160m timber.

1) Is the above quality okay for G4-3?
2) I am going to have roofing felt on. Is it a problem with holes that large?

  • Plywood sheets with multiple large holes, approximately 4cm in size, illustrating potential quality issues with G4-3 raw wood panels.
  • Close-up of a wooden board with a large hole in the center, showing surface texture and grain.

In any case, I don't think you will have a problem, but you could complain about them and choose some with fewer holes: The supplier shouldn't oppose that, right?
