How should I attach a trim between window/door
There's nothing to screw into Can you rely on glue that lasts more than a season...
The idea is that the casing below the window sill will lie on top of this trim then But the casing in the ceiling is set first

It is possible to screw the trim into the door and window frame, but you might not want to. Adhesive holds well; I glued trim around wooden windows many years ago, and they are still there. I think I used construction adhesive or something else for outdoor use.
