Hi,
we need two staircases for our new build. Single stringer stairs are our first choice, really like the sleek look (though the price is tougher to swallow). Haven't decided on the material for the stringers yet, could be glulam, metal beam, or concrete? Are there any other ideas? Concrete actually seems appealing, it shouldn't be too hard to build a form on a flat surface and reinforce it! One of the staircases is completely straight and shouldn't be a big problem, but the other one needs to be L-shaped due to space constraints, meaning it needs to make a right-angle turn shortly after the start. Since I have my limitations as a formwork carpenter and a curved beam feels impossible, I wonder if anyone has a tip on how (if possible) to do this with two straight beams? Any tips are of interest^_^b
Best regards,
Stenper
