Tips on screw, attach metal stud to leca
I am in the process of planning purchases for a dropped/false ceiling that will be built using metal studs. These are intended to be attached to the walls, which consist of leca.
To keep it simple, I first thought if there was some form of "lecaskruv" that could be mounted directly into a drilled hole. Or is it better to use regular plugs and assembly screws?
Would nail plugs work? Like these:

Now I'm curious... I have previously used nail plugs in Leca and I think they have usually held well, but I may have been lucky. Leca isn't really ideal to fasten into.T tergo said:
In this case, the load will be perpendicular to the screw and no tensile force that wants to pull out the screw/nail plug.
For your purpose, it will work fully. There are certainly better alternatives, but everything must be weighed in terms of costs and needs.pjodden said:
I have successfully used this type of screw in Leca/lightweight concrete walls https://www.proffsmagasinet.se/mask...CqjgW38wkphXCtmByn8dgzDIxPeOJaAhoCVsQQAvD_BwE
In the past, people often used slightly thicker wood screws.
