Tips on how to handle the entrance stairs
Hello
I would appreciate some tips on what to do with my entrance.
I've been thinking about replacing the concrete slabs, but what can I do with the stairs?
As seen in the pictures, it's quite large and square-shaped, and it's also covered with tiles that become very slippery in the winter.
We've been considering either
Chiseling away parts and rounding the corners, as well as replacing the tiles with something else
Or
Buying new stairs, but how do you replace stairs that seem to be attached to the house foundation?

A lot of work to chisel it away, but it's probably the right way to go. I believe it is a standalone cast slab that isn't connected to the house foundation. But it might be connected with rebar.
Then replace it with a construction of pressure-treated wood where you incorporate the scraping grate you have lying in front. You can make the construction slightly smaller (shallower), so it's enough to put your foot on the scraping grate to prevent it from being slippery.
