How should one proceed if they want to install stone tiles (rough stone about 25-35mm thick) along a wall that consists of a 125cm chimney breast and a 180cm timber-framed interior wall with plasterboard as the surface layer?
At the joint between the chimney breast and the interior wall, there is a certain risk of movement and thus cracks. Silicone joint in a somewhat similar color to the stone?
One is not allowed to clad the chimney breast, otherwise, that would have been an idea.
