tiling on MDF?

Hi, does anyone know if it works well to tile on MDF? I'm thinking of building a bench/sink in MDF where the actual sink will be mounted. Do you have any other suggestions for materials?

Then it's easy to screw on a plasterboard to tile on so you have the perfect base.

I'm looking at an MDF floorboard for the bathroom. It should be possible to tile directly onto it according to the manufacturer.

It might be that MDF is so compact that it doesn't move due to moisture. But on the wall, I would probably still use OSB+Gips.
