On floor 1, the floor above the basement, we will lay tiles and underfloor heating in the kitchen.

The joists are 120mm concrete. The beams rest on the concrete. Between the beams, it is filled with slag stone. I am a bit unsure of how to make the new floor construction.

They are 600cc apart and it feels too far to lay grooved floorboards. Leaning towards removing all the beams and casting with EPS concrete and then underfloor heating in self-leveling compound.

  • Wooden floor structure with beams on concrete, filled with rubble and slag stones, part of kitchen renovation project involving tile and underfloor heating.
  • Exposed subfloor in a renovation project showing wooden joists, rubble infill, and a power drill on the side.
