As the title suggests, I'm going to lay tiles on the basement floor.
The house was built in '48 and the floor is untreated concrete.
However, moisture seeps through in some places...
I drained the entire foundation 2 years ago.
I won't be installing underfloor heating, I just want the tiles because they are easier to clean and look better than the concrete.

But to my questions:
Should one use any special adhesive for the tiles when there is penetrating moisture?
Should one use a primer to stop the moisture from rising from the concrete slab?
Other advice is welcome as this is the first time I will be laying tiles on concrete.

Grateful for any help.

No moisture barrier and regular adhesive will work well. Just make sure the surface is solid, without any paint or loose concrete debris, and it will be fine.

Best regards, Kai
