The column in the picture is going to be tiled. First, I need to extend it slightly to align the tiles with the cabinets next to it.
The question is how best to connect to the tall cabinet on the right. It's not entirely rigid like a wall, and I don't want it to crack at the joint, of course.
If the pantry door is to open to the left against the pillar, make sure to double-check how much the cabinet frame needs to extend to prevent the door from hitting the tiles. Leave a few mm against the frame to avoid any risk of cracking, or alternatively, a soft joint that is easy to repair if it moves.

I hadn't thought about the door either, but I think it should have the hinges on the right side. It's always interesting to install a kitchen for the first time...
