Raised floor type nivell or platon depends on the condition of the concrete slab. If it is completely even, platon is the cheapest and takes up the least space, but if it is uneven, for example if there have been embedded joists, it is usually nivell that is used.

Yes, it works now as I'm extending the house now so I fixed everything around it... pressure-treated sill plates that I don't know what to do with... the previous owners plastered the house 3 years ago so I have no idea what's going to happen with it if you start tearing down the sill plates

you can use platon upturn high (140mm) and have 100mm insulation,
however, I seem to remember that platon recommends their comfort board at 20mm/40mm

Just drilled and threaded studs for about 60 square meters of flooring.. Found a used tool that I modded and welded on a half-inch fitting, then I used an impact wrench instead of a big machine that just spins in the chuck anyway.. Worked great! Best regards, Jocke

Sounds good, did you get hold of a nivella tap or just a regular one ..? What dimension did the tap have ..?

It was nivell.. I remember it being about 23mm in diameter.. Not so sure if it is metric pitch but I can check. Are you perhaps interested in taking over my tools?

A small question? Has anyone considered using regular wooden studs 45x70 and drilling 10 or 12mm holes instead of 21mm? Then I thought of using T-nuts* and carriage bolts instead of plastic screws, somehow it feels more solid.

Does the screw have to be fastened in the concrete underneath? I realize it becomes a bit trickier then!

It works but it's tricky to adjust the height.
