Managed the feat of tightening a karm screw so hard/wrong that the hole in the frame is now too large, the sleeve just spins. Do you have any tips on how to fix this without replacing the frame? Can you apply something like wood filler in the hole so that the sleeve for the karm screw has something to grip again?

Drill a new hole next to it?

Drill a new hole.

Had hoped to avoid making more holes in the frame, but it might be the only/best solution.

Patching with chemical wood or another type of adhesive does not hold. If the alternative to drilling a new hole is to replace the frame, then the choice should be simple. The old hole with damaged threads can be covered with a small cover plate, so no one will notice it.

Drill the hole to the appropriate dimension and glue in a plug from, for example, a broom handle.

Or fill it with plaster, it's easier.

Is it 14mm for frame screws? A lot of glue and hammer in a 15mm dowel, let it dry and drill a new 14mm hole.

So, drill into the round rod, I just realized I was unclear.
