Undergoing a complete renovation, and I'm planning to build out a few walls and lower the ceilings. What is the "correct" order? I will also install new floors, but those come after the walls. Does it really matter in which order you do the ceilings and walls? As I see it, since new electrical wiring needs to be installed, it feels better to do the walls first so that you can place the ceiling beams more easily depending on how the electrical wiring will go.

Except that I think the electrician should be allowed to pull electricity in the ceiling before gypsum board is installed.
If you are putting up walls that you know/believe will be moved, it might be a good idea to do them last, so the floor and ceiling are intact when you remove the wall.

Yes, it looked quite reasonable and in the order I had in mind roughly. But we're only going to lay parquet on the old plank floor, and you don't want to have the walls on top of it, so the walls will come first. But I think to move forward a bit faster, I'll probably do the walls before the ceiling since the kitchen will arrive soon. It feels like the ceiling can be done later, and of course, the electrician should do their work in the ceiling before it's closed, especially since there will be completely new electrical work on the entire lower floor.
