We have an approximately 2x1.3 meter entrance ledge in front of the outer door that is raised about 20 cm. It is covered in Danish sea stone, which my wife isn't too fond of. As we are now replacing the paneling at the entrance, we are considering replacing this with a raw concrete surface instead. But how? Can someone give me some ideas on the approach? Should it be plastered or cast? (with reinforcement?) Note that the height cannot be increased, so the sea stone must be chipped/cut/knocked away.
