Sewage problems, it is NOT fun, but it's all the more fun when you outsmart a plumber: 😉
I was working as a carpenter where the customer had a water purification system that overflowed onto the floor when it backwashed. The plumber said nothing could be done about it due to the trap in the floor drain - there is a limit to how fast floor drains can take in water. He said and shrugged his shoulders.
The next day, he was surprised when he saw that I had drilled a hole in the trap's flat part and connected the tell-tale pipe (22 mm) with an electrical fitting size 25mm.
Tight and neat, no water on the floor without affecting the floor drain's function.
The water now went directly down the drain without going through the trap.
