Yep, time for another asbestos thread. I've been reading a bit about popcorn ceilings in the USA, and these often had asbestos mixed in.
I have several different textured ceilings in my house from '64. Most of the ceilings look rough, but one of the ceilings has a slightly different texture, very similar to these popcorn ceilings. Has anyone here experienced asbestos in textured ceilings/paint in Sweden?
Or do we have a painter who could guide me on what kind of texture this might be? It looks a bit like chips/fiber, right?

In houses from the 1960s, eternit boards often appear as fire protection on walls and ceilings in boiler rooms; otherwise, it was not common. In other places, it was not usual.
It is easy to send in a sample for analysis if you want to be sure.

I understand that a sample is the only sure way to know for sure, just wondering if anyone has encountered it? I'm not going to touch the ceiling right now anyway, so the sample will have to wait until the day I need to screw into it again.BirgitS said:
