Hello,

I have my own well, and this summer I added a T-joint to get a water spout. The plan was to build a retaining wall and install the water spout there, but I didn't manage to do it in time.

So now the main line and the PEM pipe are exposed. Is there anything I can cover them with to prevent freezing?

Where in Sweden? Stagnant water in the same pipe for a whole winter is practically impossible up here where I live, unless you are quite a bit down in the ground or have electric heating.

In Skåne, maybe it is possible to "just" insulate the pipe during a winter.

It is in the Stockholm area. Considering covering the pit with a few dm of foam plastic from the bottom upwards. That should work?

Electric frost protection cable

There is no guarantee. If you absolutely want running water, you need electric heating in or around.
