Hello

I am planning to demolish a load-bearing concrete wall in my condominium.

I wonder if anyone here has experience using carbon fiber strip (cFRP) instead of a steel beam for reinforcement. (Read somewhere that a 1.4 mm carbon fiber strip can replace an 18cm I-beam).

I was a bit warned by byggarkivet.se that it might be more expensive with carbon fiber strips... but I've also read that since installation becomes simpler, the total cost shouldn't be much different.

I need to get an idea of the price structure and so on, before I ask an engineer to do the calculations.

Thanks in advance

I find it hard to imagine that you should be allowed to tear down the current wall at all. Which floor of how many is it on?
