This is such a pleasant forum with many knowledgeable people! Wonderful!
Maybe someone can help me. I have just bought a house and plan to merge the kitchen with the dining room into one. The wall in between is exactly in the middle line of the house, so I think it might be a "hjärtevägg" and load-bearing. The drawings don't say much and in most parts of the house, this wall doesn't exist.
But if it is load-bearing and I want to replace the wall with a beam (glulam or steel), how do I practically do it so that the house doesn't collapse during the construction period?
Should I support the intermediate floor beside the wall when tearing it down? I would prefer not to open the ceiling underneath but keep it intact.
Building drawings are difficult to interpret. The house started as a summer house with trusses where the lower cross beam seemed to be spliced with splice plates in the middle, but no support wall is drawn in the cross-section. Then they added an Åtvidaberg floor with its own truss.
I'm thinking of carefully opening the wall. Can you tell from the framework if it's meant to be load-bearing?
I wasn't planning to bring in a constructor/engineer.

Hello! I've done something similar myself. I rented "stämp" as in the borrowed picture below. I did as shown in the picture with a beam at the top along both sides of the wall, so that they relieve the wall. How many mm depends on the construction of your house, the load, etc.

I hired a structural engineer who helped me with both being the construction manager, developing the drawing for the building permit, and the calculations for the new beam. It cost a few thousand but was worth every penny.
