I have a load-bearing exterior wall that I am going to take down three meters of and install two double doors of 140 cm each, with a stud in between. The house wall is a bit over 6 meters long.
The wall section with both doors and the window will be removed and replaced.
Is it sufficient to have a stud between the double doors and on the outer sides of each door, or do I need to relieve with a load-bearing beam above the doors? So it will be a little over 140 cm between the three studs.
The wall with the doors and the window in the picture will be removed. The stud that will be placed between the new double doors will be where I've placed a couple of white strips. (by the window)
There are three trusses on the part of the wall that will be taken down. The middle one is located about 10 cm from the stud I will have between the doors.
Is it enough with studs on the outside of each door and a stud between the doors? Then there will be a little over 140 cm between each stud, or do I need a beam above the doors?
