I'm going to renovate the apartment and tear down the (non-load-bearing) wall between the kitchen and living room. I haven't decided on the approach yet and was thinking of asking for some tips for my specific wall.

As the picture shows, it has a sliding door and electrical outlets that I will have an electrician handle when the time comes.

Is it recommended to use a reciprocating saw for this type of wall?
Should I use some kind of detector to locate the electrical wiring, or can I take it slowly and locate it as I go?

Thanks in advance

Can't you disconnect the electricity first? Unplug the cables, then saw and crowbar...

Bring the electrician first and let him clear the wall of electricity so you can demolish freely.
