Tear down load-bearing wall in cabin/garage
I have an old summer cottage that I converted into a garage. The cottage is extended with a terrace that I have now built in to make the garage larger. I have torn down the old exterior wall and now want to replace the studs with a glulam beam. I've looked a bit at Moelven's program but I'm not really sure if there's a template that matches the conversion I want to do. The wall is 8.80 meters long and I'm planning to have a post in the middle and one at each wall so the gaps will be about 4.40m. The roof is sheet metal and a simple ceiling, insulated with sawdust. Above the studs, there is currently a four-star beam 100x100 which I thought would remain. Do you think a 90x405 below it will be enough? I am attaching some pictures and a simple drawing in Paint showing the house from the short side. The wall that is scribbled on is the one I want to remove. The short side is about 6 meters. This is a budget build so I would prefer not to hire a designer, which is why I'm asking you honored forum members
