I am planning to create an opening of about 2 meters in a load-bearing brick wall that is 6 meters long. The house is from 1935 and is 1 1/2 stories high.
I was in contact with a carpenter who came to look and said that you could put in a concrete beam. I wonder if these are as good as glulam beams and steel beams and where I can find prices for concrete beams.
