Take down wall, unsure if load-bearing see drawing
Yes, that's the upper floor! However, there is already an opening right below on the lower floor, but it is reported to be properly reinforced. How much does the opening down there affect if I want to make one directly above as well?
I can measure the trusses on Monday when I inspect the moving-out cleaning, of course, I have to check that the attic is nice too
Then the dimensions of the so-called upper and lower arms are interesting, do I interpret that correctly?
I am attaching a picture with arrows on the two places I plan to check the dimensions. The arrow pointing downwards, I am thinking of measuring the beam that the bottom edge of the V attaches to. I interpret the table here as saying if it measures 45 x 170 or thicker, it's fine (calculated on the more pessimistic slope of 14° when I actually have 18°) https://www.traguiden.se/konstrukti...akstol-taklutning-14-14/?previousState=000110

The opening on the lower level is irrelevant. Yes, it is the dimensions of the upper and lower frames (note the spelling) that are most interesting.

Hi, I've now managed to measure!
The upper frame is dimensioned 170 x 45 mm, the lower frame 145 x 45 mm. Given that the snow zone is 2 in Stockholm and the distance between the outer walls is 8 m, it is a bit under-dimensioned. From the table in Träguiden, it should be 170 on both U/L. However, the table is for 14° and my roof is 18°.
Perhaps it's best to reinforce my 2.5 meter opening, or is that unnecessarily cautious... Advice?

The regulations for snow load have been tightened in many places since 1981, which may explain the difference from the wood guide's guidelines. Avoid using the attic for storage and you can compensate for it. Trusses were invented by the Romans, so it's not exactly a new concept.
