Switch load-bearing capacity for trusses
I am planning to renovate the attic and want to make the most of the space. Therefore, I want to remove the marked beam, and I suspect that it serves a purpose for the load-bearing of the roof trusses?
Has anyone done something similar and/or have suggestions for a solution? My thought is an I-beam supported at the ridge?
The house is from 1954, just under 8 meters wide and built on a concrete slab and concrete joists, if that helps

Hello and welcome to the Byggahus forum!
You can make a simple sketch where you measure all the roof truss parts, including length measurements and c/c distance. General information about the house such as construction method, snow zone, etc. is also good. It's an unusual roof truss solution for being from 1954. The whole thing gives a slightly rural impression.
