I will be installing a 178cm (length) x 35cm (width) shelf on a single-layer plaster wall. The shelf is melamine-laminated white chipboard, 18 mm thick. The shelf weighs 8 kg. I intend to load it with boxes and folders that will weigh a total of 35 kg.
Brackets: 4 pcs

2 of the brackets will be attached to wooden studs. The other two will be mounted using molly plugs in the plaster wall.
My question: Are the brackets sufficient to support the shelf with the load? The brackets are only 20 cm deep while the shelf is 35 cm wide. Is this a problem?
Thanks in advance!
