Hello
I've probably scoured the forum and the internet when it comes to the question of a good base for tiling/mosaic as a countertop for an outdoor kitchen.
The frame is very stable and currently consists of decking wood as the countertop (leftover from patio building).
I thought the forum, which teaches me a lot every day, might have some ideas here.
Initially, I thought of using a Cembrit board and have seen people use these according to my ideas. But some say it doesn't work at all, including Cembrit themselves. Why, I haven't gotten an answer. It will be protected from rain, and I was thinking of priming it beforehand.
The other option is a construction board from Bauhaus "do it"

It spontaneously feels like a real winner, but?
My 3rd thought is a foam board, which seems to be extremely popular in wet rooms like

Hope you might have some ideas! Eager to get started.
The thing is, it's not a bathroom being built, so I'm looking for something that will actually hold, so all building regulations can so to speak be set aside.
Have a nice day!
