Stupid question about stud center distance
you start measuring c/c 300 from the existing wall to stud no. 2 and then c/c 300 onwards
and if you don’t want to keep the spackle edge, then start setting a 1/3 or a 2/3 board
if you are having both osb+gypsum on the wall, then c/c 450 is sufficient with offset joint

Watch out for the filler edge on plasterboards, the Swedish ones have about 5 cm, but plaster from certain discount stores has a 7-8 cm filler edge. I got tricked myself, but it worked out since the sparse panel was 70 mm, so the joint ended up 1.5 cm from the center of the sparse panel.

- Depending on the type of wall it connects to, the outer edges may need an allowance for adjustment
- The length of the wall may not be exactly divisible by 300
- For example, door openings affect the placement of the studs
Seems like most people are misunderstanding the question! You must of course adjust the first beams to the board, so that the outermost board reaches the outer edge of the outermost beam, and not the center. Hope you understand what I mean.
