Hello
Now I really need help.
I have put my husband to work building a new staircase!!!
It's not the easiest task in the world, but I really want a staircase down to ground level.
The staircase should be built on a slope - from the terrace to the ground.
I have tried some attempts on zhitov, but I'm really not getting it right.
Shouldn't it be possible to do a calculation where I enter the stringer length, then all other measurements that need to be entered, and let the program determine the number of steps and dimensions?
Opening height Y 2225
Length of the opening X 2650
Staircase width Z 110
Number of steps C ?
Tread thickness W ?
Tread overhang F ?
Stringer thickness T 240

What is zhitov, some kind of software I suppose? What are you actually wondering about? A staircase is not that complicated. Especially if it sounds like it's straight and outdoors?
Hello vectrex.
Yes, zhitov is a program that I have tested.
The result I get from the measurements I input gives a stringer of 3700 mm
20 cm step height and 23.5 step depth.
If I need a stringer of 3700 mm, it ends up on the next slope.
When I place my stringer where it should be, it is 3200 mm.
Can't I "just" get a calculation done based on my measurement of 3200 mm?

It's still a bit unclear what you are actually wondering. However, it sounds like you have two fixed points that the stair should go between. If that's the case, it's the length and level difference that dictate, and you fit the steps accordingly.
Hello Lundin.
I got it right, I gave it some thought.....
I will photograph and upload it when it's done.

It is your X and Y measurements that determine the stringer's length. If you want a stringer that is 3.2 m, you need to have different measurements for X and Y than the ones you have currently written.
