I am thinking of using 90x90 for posts and otherwise 45x145 impregnated. Any opinions on weaknesses? A 3D model of a wooden structure with 90x90 posts and 45x145 beams, featuring dimensions and made of impregnated wood.

Will it withstand the ice? Most cribs I've seen are made of pine logs and even they can break if the ice is severe. There is probably some useful information here on the forum as well if you look at piers.

Logs that you splice together. Possibly with stainless threaded rod.

How is the bridge weather-wise? How does the waterline run?

The joints must be significantly stronger if it is to withstand any wind worth mentioning.

It looks flimsy. And place the boards on the inside of the posts.

What type of splicing is recommended?

The bridge is naturally situated facing south in a small bay, and the waterline will go about 30 cm below the top of the bridge. Which joints do you mean?

Yep, but I've also seen much weaker cribs than my design that seem to hold up for decades...

Should it be in a lake or the sea? Ice conditions?

Maybe some braces? They do a lot for stability.

Where can you find a 2-meter stainless steel threaded rod?

If I use 45x170, inside the posts, with some diagonal bracing, what do you think then? Now the stone foundation will probably be 1.6x1.6 m in size and 1.5 m high.

Hello

I'm considering building something similar in a lake. Did you build it according to the sketch and has it withstood the ice?
