I have installed a stormwater pit (plastic model from Mr Flowout) for the drainage. I got a bit tired from the digging, so I'm wondering if the depth is too shallow. Dug depth about 55 cm with 10 cm of 8-16 at the bottom. The stormwater pit is 30 cm high, so there are about 15 cm of soil on top. I'm considering a heating cable in the pipe. Is there a risk of freezing problems, so I should dig deeper? I live in the Stockholm area.

That was ambitious. I just let my condensate water drip onto the ground and it has never frozen.

Thank you, that sounds reassuring. Is it an air/water heat pump you have?

I have an air/air system on the wall with a condensation hose and we use a lot of cooling.

Cooling is usually done when it's warm, so the condensation water shouldn't freeze.
I guess TS has set up a stone tomb to manage the water from defrosting in the winter.

How did you size the dry well? How big does one need for 50 liters a day on old farmland?
