Bringing up an old thread with the question of suitable course with leca. I have envisioned 45+145+45 (45-crossed). The slab measures externally 7.2 m. I will use insulated L-edge elements 400mm high and underfloor heating in the slab with 300mm insulation.
Can you lay a 9 or 15cm stone flat or is 19x19 preferable?? Leca insulates poorly but it's good to raise the wall a bit!! or??
Do you need to even out the top of the leca or can you apply a strip of foam sealant under the sill plate and the sill?? Am I being foolishly cheap now??
