I have a straight staircase with 14 steps that need renovation, planning to paint most of it white and lay oak parquet.
My question: can you also neatly cut front and back edge strips from the same parquet? Has anyone done something similar?
What type of paint should be used?
All tips are welcome!

Where you lay oak parquet, you don't need to paint, do you? What do you mean by bakkantslist? Aren't you going to install parquet that covers the riser? If so, you don't need a bakkantslist. For the front edge strip, you should choose a solid oak strip that is slightly rounded at the front edges and covers the parquet. The best way to treat untreated oak parquet is Osmo hardwax oil or similar.
