Hello,
I am in the process of building a workshop/tent (i.e., no plywood sheets on the walls to help stiffen them). The tent will be 15m long, 5m wide, and 5.4m high, and then roof trusses and a roof will be built on this.
For the frame, I have decided on 125x50 studs at CC 60. However, I can only get 3.7m long studs. So how do I make a 3.7m stud become 5.4m?
I have attempted to sketch two solutions below. In a), I add a horizontal stud and then continue with vertical ones, and in b), I try to splice each stud with two 1-meter studs on each side of the splice. Which holds best? Is there any other way I should do it?

I wasn't thinking of A or B, but that's the type I've spliced studs with and it's a completely rigid splice. 1-meter splice piece and 2 at the end 10 cm in, 2 in the middle, and 2 at the end 10 cm in on the part to be spliced, a little zigzag so they bind completely.
50x125 54dm is a common dimension at the sawmill. If you have contacts, you should be able to buy a package, but not for 13:-/m if you want something that can be used to bug with
