Considering opening up the middle section of the house, but the tricky part is there's a staircase and load-bearing walls in the basement level (I think, marked them in the attached image, green color)... As I understand it, if you want to open it up, it requires a beam and maybe reinforcement, but we still won't get rid of the staircase in the middle unless we make a hatch, which would still be quite impractical...

but.. if we can build the reinforcement from the foundation on the basement level up to the roof truss using a cylinder or standing beam and reinforce, maybe it could be possible in step 2 to build a spiral staircase around the load-bearing beam. It might be a completely crazy idea but what do you think? Is it feasible?

Where would you like the new stairwell? What is the floor structure made of, wood or concrete?

want to place the new stairwell where the red marking is, as close to the chimney stack as possible, the house is from 1956 with a basement. Floor structure (if I understand the terminology correctly) is in wood.

Whether the floor structure is made of wood or concrete, some type of reinforcement around the stairwell opening is needed. The idea of reinforcement resting on the stair spindle is creative but not practical. It can probably be solved in your case, but to know how, one must get much closer to the details. In a split-level house from 1956, I would have sworn that the floor structure was concrete, but wood is easier to handle so it's not a disadvantage.
