I have cut about 10 tiles with my Bosch PKS 16, a multi-saw with a diamond blade, so it should work for cutting tile.

After 10 tiles, it started sparking near the blade and it’s not cutting as smoothly; it’s simply met resistance. Should I continue or could I have burned out the entire machine?

I also noticed after removing the blade that I installed it the wrong way around, with the label inward instead of outward, but I can't imagine that making a difference.

Guess the blade is finished..

Does the blade have a direction arrow? I believe the direction of rotation can matter, but it might differ between different types of blades?
