Spark guard

Hello,

Does anyone know where (online) one can contact someone who can make a spark guard in stone for our tiled stove? All the stonemasons I've contacted only deal with tombstones, and that might not be so pretty...

In Gotland, there is a lot built in stone, check with e.g. the County Museum for stonemasons.

If I understand you correctly, you are looking for a spark protection coating in front of the oven on the floor?
Check with the tile stove suppliers, they have craftsmen who install and build tile stoves, they can surely recommend someone in your area.

You're looking for a smooth stone slab as a hearth plate, right?
There are many stone companies that cut such pieces.
For example, there is one on Norr Mälarstrand next to the gas station (if you live in Stockholm). Take a look in the phonebook again.

Stonemasons, as mentioned, usually work with gravestones.

that they work with headstones is not an obstacle, right? every stone company I know of deals with headstones or did they explicitly say they do nothing else?
