Hello,
I need some plastering tips on the following questions:
1, I've made a hole in the ceiling for the stairs to the upper floor, where there have been some larger cracks/holes about 5 cm in the ceiling plasterboard. How do I patch it up? Do I cut away and put a new piece with a paper strip at the seam? Or can I just plaster it?
2, around the window reveal, I have a plasterboard wall, the gaps that are against the reveal, do I plaster or caulk? Caulk, right? If it's a bit larger gap, should I plaster first or is there a risk of cracking?
3, seam slanted ceiling and ceiling. I'm planning to go without ceiling moldings and have neat joints instead. How do I do this the best without cracks? The boards are up but not cut at an angle, so it needs to be plastered out to create a good angle. I was thinking of plastering out first to get a neat angle. Then gluing a paper strip to avoid cracks and after that plastering again, is that okay? Or should I caulk under the paper strip before gluing it?
