Spackle drywall ceiling with grooves

I have concrete in the ceiling and drywall on the walls. I am filling in the joints and vertical corners using joint tape. But what is the easiest way to deal with the joints between the ceiling and the drywall, i.e., the vertical joints along the ceiling?
