Currently building a new kitchen and have just finished drywalling everywhere, where it needs to be tiled you need to fill the seams and screw holes:confused:

Normally it is completely unnecessary.

exactly what I was thinking

might be smart to plaster once over the seams. just to build a little and to get a fiberglass tape so that it absorbs the movements. Then it is easier to get the tiles straight, otherwise there is a risk that the tiles right there can sink in extra but that's my opinion ;)

there's no reason to do it.. only if you're going to have mosaic! /tiler

And as usual with tiles, if it needs to be plastered it should be gypsum or cement-based, right?

Precis otherwise the risk is high that it will loosen. Sandspackel is aj aj ;)

Totally unnecessary and the tape is only used when painting. There's no risk that the tiles sink in, unless it's some very thin mosaic.
