Hello! We recently installed geothermal heating in our old house with the pump in the laundry room. Above the laundry room, we have our bedroom, and at night when the pump starts up, there is a faint humming noise throughout the bedroom that bothers us. It's manageable, but does anyone have tips on how to dampen this sound? Can we enclose the entire pump in a large box with absorbent materials on the inside, or what can we do?

A VP is normally connected with hoses to prevent vibrations from occurring. The connection to VV and KV may not involve hoses, which can result in a humming noise in the house if you're unlucky. Is it on a rigid floor?
