Assuming you are thinking about Gyproc Planum, otherwise maybe you should check it out. Beveled on all four sides. If you don't need to splice more than two sides, there is nothing to investigate.

Exactly (y)

The existing roof isn't screwed directly into the rafters, is it? There should be battens or some panel inside?

Started with my daughter's room. Bought a ceiling sander from Jula which made the job significantly easier. Now just waiting for the ordered wallpaper to arrive.
Picture of when the ceiling is finished.

Today I have a ceiling covered with ceiling panels. I now want a smooth ceiling and understand that gypsum is the solution. Can I mount gypsum directly on the existing ceiling panels, or must they first be taken down?
Hello
I tried to spackle this ceiling and it didn't work. First, I spackled the gaps, which I then sanded out. Painted the spackled areas and then glued Flügger fiber fleece with wet room glue. After that, I painted the ceiling to finish.

Ceiling crack showing unsuccessful attempt to fill and sand before painting and applying fiber mat with waterproof adhesive. Smooth painted ceiling with visible seams after spackling, sanding, and applying Flügger fiberfilt with wet room glue.

You need to have reinforcement in the filler, fiberglass tape or paper tape.

Edit: I see a little thread lift now ;)

So true, so true, I took a calculated risk with paint stores to avoid plastering the ceiling. The tip with fiber cloth and wet room glue did not work out. The crack in the picture is quite large, so I tore down the ceiling and put up gypsum, and when I see the construction, I'm glad I switched to gypsum.

Is there anyone who has succeeded with a strip on this type of ceiling? A large crack in a ceiling measured with a yellow tape measure, showing approximately 4 cm. Large crack in a ceiling before replacing with gypsum board, showing exposed structure and damaged plaster. A large crack in a removed ceiling panel, exposing wooden beams beneath. The texture of the panel and damaged areas are visible.
